Poland Business Run 2024. It is safe to say that participating in this largest charity business relay has become our tradition. Because for the third time, the representation of our company, BC Team, took part in the Poland Business Run. In the previous two years, we took part in a virtual run, and this time we decided to run in Krakow, together with thirteen thousand runners from all over Poland. We wanted to feel the spirit of direct competition and the atmosphere of a great (really great) sports event. But above all, we wanted, as every year, to join those who, through their physical activity, help people who have experienced fate and expect help and support. People who cannot run on their own, but have hope and dreams.

The numbers speak for themselves

The Poland Business Run Foundation has been organizing a run for 12 years, in which representatives of various companies and institutions run for prostheses, wheelchairs and rehabilitation of people with mobility disabilities, amputees and mastectomies. This year, 41,610 male and female runners took part in the Poland Business Run (in total in the stationary and virtual races) from over 1,700 participating companies. This year's event helped 150 people under the foundation's care.

How does it work?

It turns out that among several dozen Business Consulting employees there are many people willing to run for charity. Even if some of us do not train every day, when registering for a race they always declare that they will prepare themselves before the competition. And they really do it! Our boss has also always supported our running plans, so we form a five-person team, pay the entry fee and count down the days until the race. It is a nice time for us to integrate, exchange information about preparations for the competition (i.e. completed training), wait for starting packages and grow in pride in being the ambassador of our company in this wonderful event.

At the start of Poland Business Run 2024

On the morning of September 8 this year. We checked in at Błonia in Krakow. The run started at 9:30 a.m. Our team consisted of three ladies and two men. The ladies who ran in the first three shifts were: Kinga, Magda and Sylwia. Then the men started: Mariusz and Radek, who showed off a beautiful finish. The weather was perfect that day, as were our moods and... sports form. Each relay participant had to cover 3.6 km, so together we ran 18 km in 1 hour. 36 mins. There was fatigue and beads of sweat, but that quickly gave way to satisfaction. And, of course, conversations about the run, analysis of results, assessment of the running strategy. For some, the most exciting moment was the countdown before the start, for others, passing the relay baton to the next person, and still others talked with joy about the emotions associated with crossing the finish line.

After the run

Almost every team immortalizes its start in common photos or films. Later, rolls, testimonials and reports are created from this. This is ready-made content for internal communication and employee branding. Because, apart from sporting emotions and charity activities, the run is also a time for team meetings and integration, as well as a great promotion of physical activity and a healthy lifestyle. And these are timeless values that are worth striving for and promoting.
